Software Installation

The installer will now display the correct description of software when displaying the User Access Control (UAC) prompt. Up to and including the current version, a temporary file name was displayed in Windows 10 and 11.

Function Timeline

The processing logic for New Standard Function and New Ticketed Function has been revised to prevent issues on heavily resource constrained servers. There has been no change to the user interface.

Corrected Issues

Corrected issues since version 4.6.123…

  • Payroll: Error adding new Allowance / deduction record corrected.
  • Payroll: Incorrect Accrued Time Off in Employee Enquiry corrected.
  • Payroll: Incorrect SGC Parameter display in Employee Maintenance corrected.
  • An issue that caused reports created with Crystal Reports to fail has been corrected. This mainly affected reports in Function Management and Club Membership.

Crystal Reports Runtime version 13 SP30

In this release we need to update the Crystal Reports runtime package required by some Pulse Workspace applications.

When Pulse Workspace is first executed after update to version 4.6.124 you will see the following prompt…

This will occur on each and every workstation where Pulse Workspace is installed. Click Ok to download and install the installation file.. As with any installer package, you will be prompted a number of times to click Next to continue with the installation. Please do until the installation finishes.

Importantly, do not Cancel the installation as doing so will render the applications that rely on the package unavailable.

Please be patient with this, as on some machines the procedure may take up to five minutes.

Pulse Payroll

  1. An issue that caused banking deduction to be incorrect when a Bank Deduction was changed to a Net Pay to Bank deduction has been corrected.

Pulse Financials

  1. New. You can now change price by percent or dollar amount for selected sales items in Maintain Sales Items.
  2. New. You can now bulk email suppliers and customers from within Address Book.
  3. New. The system now supports recurring customer sales invoices. This allows the same invoice to be recreated on a cyclic basis. The Customer record in Address Book allows a schedule of recurring invoice(s) to be maintained and the invoices themselves are created in Transaction Entry.
  4. An issue that caused an incorrect balance when back-dating a Supplier Aged Analysis or Aged Summary report has been corrected.

Club Membership, Pulse Golf and associated systems

  1. An issue that caused the Imported Members docking window to be displayed when performing member lookup has been corrected.

  1. An issue in Enter Payouts that caused Discontinued machines to be accessed has been corrected.

Pulse Function Management

  1. An issue that caused the Function Revenue Report to fail when filtered by Function Status has been corrected.

Golf Competitions

  1. An issue with Fourball Multiplier competitions that caused Player 2 results to be assigned to Player 1 in Kiosk Score Entry has been corrected.

Payroll

  1. The Employee Termination Entry form now displays the prompt “Are you sure you wish to terminate this employee?” when the Ok button is clicked or the Enter button pressed. This change was made to avoid accidental termination of employees when using PageUp / PageDown to scroll through the data entry forms in Pay Details Entry.
  2. The system no longer creates a termination record with zero values when the operator cancels the Termination Wizard.
  3. An issue that caused the anniversary date for leave calculations to be calculated from the last update date rather than the anniversary of the commencement of employment has been corrected. This issue was affecting LSL and annual / personal leave using the annual rather than NES calculation method.

Function Management

  1. Service details are no longer printed on an invoice if there is no charge.
  2. The Function Invoice Analysis Grid now includes G/L Revenue details for venue hire and service records when the G/L details have been defined on the venue and services master file. Note that this change required alteration of the database schema which means G/L details will only be available for invoices created after the update has been installed.
  3. Added the fields Date Created and Created By to the Funstions table. These fields are read-only and cannot be edited.

Golf Competitions

  1. When zero or Enter is pressed on the Golf Kiosk 18 hole score entry keypad, the system will now display Wipe Hole as the number of strokes to clearly inform the player the result of the action.
  2. the Golf Kiosk score entry module now has an NCR button. Clicking this button will allow a player to enter a No Card Returned result via the kiosk.
  3. The editor up/down buttons on the Quantity column in Social Golf fee entry are always displayed to allow quick entry of fee items.
